Hey guys I have an interview and test session with CARE in two weeks ...I just wanted to ask how the skills testing portion goes ?
 
CARE ambulance ...Southern California
 
When I did skills testing there it was super basic. Applying a tourniquet, splinting a forearm fracture, putting an 02 tank together and inserting an OPA and providing BVM ventilations. There was also a written test that was I think 50 questions that wasn’t difficult, just basic EMT questions
 
Sick thanks man , how long ago was that ? Because on the email they sent ..it only mentioned the interview and the skills test
 
And were the skills scenario based ? Or did they just want to see the skill itself ?
 
Probably like 3 years ago but I heard not much has changed. The interview wasn’t anything terrible as well. Just the basic interview questions, why you became an EMT, your strong points, etc.
 
It was just skills only. There was not scenario based questions/ stations when I went.
