Hi,

I have a question for those of you who live in Connecticut. Are MRTs (Now EMRs) certified in Connecticut allowed to apply a cervical collar on a patient? Or is this strictly an EMT and higher skill. I am just talking about Connecticut.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

James

Why the hell would it be a EMT and higher skill?

Don't know where you are in CT, but the protocols in the NorthCentral region look as if C-Spine is in the scope.

You should check with your supervisor or instructor before you perform anything you're not quite sure of. ;)

We are in Middlebury. I just wanted some feedback from this forum. Thank you n7lxi. I appreciate the time you took to respond and your thoughtful answer. :-)
