Greetings everyone,
I was recently employed by a company in SoCal that does IFT's. My FTO assigned to me is looking like she is not going to pass my training. However it doesn't feel to me as if she is actually teaching me. We were going over narratives, and she wrote a list of what needs to be on there and said just follow this. No explanation greater than that. Now, the FTO who was assigned to me has never actually been in the back of a rig with me w/ a patient. She has been driving all four training days. So when I would write a narrative, I would read it out to her, and she would have me make corrections, which proceeded about 4 times. And then the complaint was it was not legible because of all of the corrections. I even waited a couple of times to ask her a question, which got me a review of "Unfocused". I tried to get help from the attendant that works with her but he has a slightly different style than her and that has gotten me into trouble with her as well. I'm not sure what to do at this point, cause with the level of instruction I have received I don't feel comfortable working as an attendant without supervision. There are other companies in the area that do 911 runs, I am tempted just to apply there but I do not know how to back out of this situation. Any suggestion would help. Thanks.
