I was browsing around looking at possible EMT jobs, and came across one to work as an EMT in a correctional Facility. I tried some searching on the forums and didn't really find anything.

So I was wondering if anyone has had any experience working as an EMT in a correctional Facility, and what is was like? Obviously it would be different then working on a rig, but could someone give me some perspective?

It just got me curious, as to other types of EMT employment other than on an ambulance or as an Er Tech.

Thanks!

I believe Mycrofft used to work for the DOC as an RN.

My bet would be doing intake vitals/assessment and responding to in house emergencies along with inventory and stocking would be your primary duties.

Definitely not dealing with the upstanding citizens of the community but that's true for field EMS a lot of the time too.
