Anyone use pager/email emergency incident services?

Does anyone use services like 1st Responder Wireless News http://www.1rwn.com/index.aspx or Breaking News Network http://www.breakingnewsnetwork.com/ ?

I call them wacker pagers, because they have scanner buffs who spend waaaaaay too much time listening on scanners and sending out pages about major incidents, like working fires, injuries, crashes, and other stuff.

I know a couple people in my area that use these services, and it's usually fire buffs. Any EMS people use a service like this?

No...but then again the only thing programmed into my scanner is the CTAF for the airport next door and other aviation frequencies.

Do I have one? Yeah. Do I use it? Not really. Only carry it on busy nights when I don't have my radio.

My County is setting up a system to do a page, a phone call to your home and cell phone, and an e-mail.
