Hi everyone I was wondering if anyone ever worked for emergency ambulance in orange county? Just wondering if it is a good company to work for. I currently do IFTs for A private company and I know emergency does 911 for three cities around my house so right there is good enough for me.

talked to an emt that worked for them. just some stuff i learned from him about the company:

-best odds apply in person NOT online.
-hire in as driver OR attendant ONLY he said. you have better odds applying for driver they don't hire much attendants. he said they seem to always be hiring drivers though.
-4 911 cars 24hr shifts (they can be pulled for IFTs)
-only the brea 911 rig cannot be pulled for IFTs what so ever
-approx 4 day IFT cars that can cover 911 cars (can't remember if they were 8 or 10 hr cars)

that's all we had time to talk about. seems like a small operation even the IFT side of things.

hope it helps and for the most part hope its accurate. just restating it was a conversation i had with a current employee of the company approx last fall 2010.

A update for the interested.
-The best and only way to apply to EAS is through our website at EmergencyAmbulance.com. We no longer accept walk in applications.
-We hire only driver qualified individuals, but will give you 60 days to obtain your Ambulance Driver's Certificate. Of course, if you already have one that's a plus.
-We operate 4 dedicated 911 cars on 24hr shifts and one backup 24hr car.
-Our dedicated units are exclusively dedicated to 911 service. We don't pull them for IFTs - ever!
-We run 5-7 day/night cars using flexible deployment and they all run BLS, CCT and yes 911.
-Yes, we're small - but experienced. We have over 37 years of experience providing 911 and IFT ambulance services in organized EMS systems.

We are most pleased to take applications from any qualified EMT.

So, Brea2 won't get pulled and end up at Saddleback for an IFT at 0230? That's good. I always felt bad for those guys.
