Another job option...

OK so the local job market aint that great here, so Ive decided to move to the Conway AR area. Ive looked on the Conway Regional Medical Center page and they have an opening for MSA in CCU or ER (MSA=Multi-Skilled Assistant). The Reqs are as: BLS required/ACLS preferred. Now as an EMT Ive got the BLS shtuff. Here's the downside, Ive not been able to get experience using my skills, so whats the best way to maximize my chances of getting this job after submitting my application? Obviously being professional is one of them, but what should I say when they ask why havent I done EMS for the past year? Employment problems isnt going to be a good answer, Im putting my past behind me and movin' forward thus the relocation to a new area and getting a fresh start.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

I would suggest to be honest and tell them your plans and desire to work in an ALS service, & your desire to learn and gather knowledge as much as possible.
