Ambulance driving license

I don't have my ambulance drivers license yet and I want to apply to jobs while still in college and hopefully secure one right after I graduate. Are companies (California Bay Area) picky about you having the license before they hire?

Just from what I've read on here, with EMTs being a dime a dozen in CA, you need your state and county certs and your ADL in hand before any company will look at your application

This. It helps to get hired if you are able to stand out from other applicants (in a good way). Get all of your certs before you start applying.
 
I agree with the above, and read over the packet you buy at DMV before you take ambulance the test. I think it was 35 questions and the questions are very specific. Good luck
 
Some companies will interview you but won't hire you until you have your ADL.
