Aluminum foil for burns

Aluminum in contact conducts heat more efficiently than radiating it or convecting it away in air. Large scale aluminum foil on burned flesh could lead to loss of body heat through conduction. Aluminized Mylar is plastic and does not conduct heat like foil; when the original cited article was written, mylar was as of yet uninvented.l
 
Alright... Anyone else using Mylar?
 
or the little emergency blankets.
