All of San Diego is without power.

We are having major power outages. All employees have been sent a page and asked to be available on a strike team. One of our strike teams has already been activated.
 
Power is beginning to come back on as of about 11pm. Most of san diego is on right now as well.
 
The sad part is, is that it's not just san Deigo county. It's parts in new Mexico, Mexico, Arizonia, and the coachella valley.

I live near Sea World, we got power around 1 AM. It was kinda neat seeing the whole city in darkness, met a few of the neighbors during the outage. USD must have their own generator as they were one of the few places that had light. The crumby things were the price gougers, 10 bucks for ICE.
 
Doesn't everybody have a back up generator? Power goes out in my area so often it's just part of everyday life.

Power's been out at my place probably four times in my life. This is the first one that wasn't scheduled.

It wasn't bad. Sat on the porch and made dinner with my JetBoil, and chatted with the neighbors (one's a Fire Medic, another is a Sheriff's deputy, former Navy) and watched the rest of the neighborhood run around like it was the apocalypse. We then retired inside and sat around the kerosene lamp playing cards.

I knew having the 15 flashlights laying around my house would come in handy some day.
