Hey All,

I had an interview just about 1 1/2 weeks ago for a company. I know that you'll either get an email with an offer or "thanks for applying" type of email. What does it mean if you haven't heard anything either way? Especially if they said you should hear probably within a week.

Probably means they're still trying to figure out who the best candidate for the position is or they are busy.

You should get a email regardless or a phone call, unless the people are shady. At the company I interviewed at It took them a couple of days for them to send me that "Thanks for applying with us but unfortunately..." type email.

Either keep on waiting or give them a call and ask what the status on your application etc is.

Good luck!

Send them a thank-you note for the interview to your interviewer (I suppose you could call too). Email is likely to get swept under the rug.

Ideally you do this for every interview, and it's a great way to remind companies that you are still interested and that they should be too.

I know they did mention they were busy with a lot of applicants. I was just getting a little nervous about it, but that does seem logical.

Thanks for the replies. I appreciate it.
