AEMT question

LSTI has an AEMT class? No one around here recognizes it though, do they?

Yea A few places will run Medic/Specialist in that area. All depends on where ya work. Ive heard Healthlink runs Medic/specialist for ALS downriver.

Where I work if a Paramedic draws up a med outside my scope and has me give it because he is busy doing something else that is allowed, because it is the Paramedics decision. It is a big no no for Aemt to draw up drugs beyond their scope.

I have worked in places where it was the opposite. An emt could draw up a med (or attach the epi prefill) as long as the medic checked it and administered it.

The US is a little behind.

Edit:
Come to think of it, an EMT can draw up a med for a medic.
