A Fib aint no lie!

Up until the latest protocol update in July, its been Lidocaine or Amiodarone. Other EMS system protocols I've seen called for the same.
 
Personally, I see no issue with trying the adenosine first. The other option is to run a 12-lead since you're just wanting to rule out aberrant conduction.

In the old protocol it did state just that, if aberrant conduction suspected go for adenosine. Other wise it was Lido or Amiodarone first. New protocols basicly reversed the approach.
