4th grader hailed as hero in bus crash

Mad kudos to this kid. It seems to me he was very calm and collected; for an 11-year old involved an MCI MVC, let alone an MVC at all, that's a great feat. And to be willing to translate for fire and EMS crews amongst the (what I assume would have been) absolute chaos - all while having been injured himself.

There needs to be more people in this world like himself: selfless and courageous. He'll go far in life.

Wonder if the rescuers will get in trouble for delaying his transport so he could translate for them?

Given the circumstances, I doubt it. Might pull them off to the side and give them a word or two but nothing formal.

Wow. I doubt I'll be that calm at my first MCI. Props to the kid.
