I sent in my paperwork today for recertification. Has anyone else? I'm hoping doing it this early will allow me to fix anything they might reject it for.

Kind of....just took the Recert by Exam late yesterday. Decided to give it a try, since even if I fail, I can just send in my CE.

wow, I feel like a real procrastinator right now

I'm getting all my paperwork ready to send in, I think I have enough hrs to renew everything. I changed my workplace recently and I'm getting stuff from 3 agencies together.
when you recert by exam, do you just do the CBT portion, or practicals also???

Just CBT then they send you an abbreviated recert form. If you go to the NR website, you can find a download to the form (can't post the link due to low post count.) But all it asks for is your demographic info, agency info, CPR info, and then a sign off from your training officer/service director in the Verification Of Skill Competence section (same as on the regular recert form).

(side note: I passed! Fewer questions than the initial time I took it, too)

where is the medical director/ training officer sign off on the online re certification? I can not seem to find that section when I log in.

The form I got from NR was paper, not electronic. I was just talking about how you could access the paper form online and print it off. I haven't done any of the electronic recertification stuff....so I can't help you there. Sorry!

You wont see on your own page. A training officer that is registered with NREMT through your company will have a seperate company login to verify your CEs

ok thanks

Maybe I can pick your brain one last time. If I was affiliated with an agency for the majority of this re certification cycle and am now in between jobs do I have to revert to inactive status or can I have my old agency sign off on me?

Your old agency can absolutely sign you off... as long as the TO is willing.
