It depends on your local licensing requirements I would think.
Here in CA, I don't believe there is any place you are required to disclose your medical history other than during the evaluation for CA DMV DL-51 Medical Card for driving commercial and emergency vehicles.
This evaluation does...
Haha!!!
I like your humor at least. :)
I am going to be in a full-time graduate program in Rochester...just looking for some close work to make a few extra dollars and keep my skills somewhat intact.
Thanks for the offer though. I am excited to visit NYC though, never having been...
Hey,
I am moving from Los Angeles to Rochester, NY in August to attend a post-bac program as part of my journey to medical school.
Does anyone on here work in the area? I don't know anyone in NY and would love to meet some people in the area.
I am a CA licensed paramedic with two or so...
American would only be up in Fresno and surrounding counties, they never go to Kern County.
OP - as a CA resident and EMS employee for the past four years I have come to see that the only way to live and work as a non-fire paramedic is to get extremely lucky or move out of state.
Best of luck.
If you work with an IFT company in Los Angeles City, you will need to work about 48-72 hours a week to afford to live alone in a crappy area.
Those companies are more reputable, but they still don't pay very well and will be challenging to get hired at. They have a lower turnover rate than...
I think think is the route I am going to take.
It is an important topic that I find easy to speak about and there is a ton of free research available through Circulation.
That is a good point as well. No one here will have any understanding of CV anatomy or physiology. I would need to cover that first which may derail my speech.
I was mainly worried on the CPR because it may just turn out like an AHA CPR class.
Was hoping to solicit a little advice from you guys.
I am taking a speech class right now on the side as a prerequisite for nursing school (the one I took with my B.S. was interpersonal and I need to retake an "oral" speech).
Our assignment for an informative speech is coming up and I was...
I listened to the police tape they released and it sounded horrific - I have never been near a scene of that magnitude. Anyone in the CO area know anything about problems or victories that occurred EMS side?
It does not appear to be a program meeting DOT or NEMS standards - based on the infor on their site and the hours of the program. Therefore I would speak to a EMS agency representative directly to find out what you would need.
Hours and training would be able to be completed through a training...
You did not provide your school so I couldn't check - but a key factor is that if your school meets DOT or NEMS standards than the hours don't factor in.
Also - I think you said you are from there but hopefully you are aware that private paramedic jobs in OC are non-existant.
