    Driving an ambulance

Eh, some volunteer places will take you as just a driver, but will make you sign a contract agreeing to take an EMT-B course within 6mo to a year. As a driver with an EMT-B cert or at least a first responder cert, you will much more valuable, esp on-scene. As a job, you can basically forget it...

You can skip the first 4-8 weeks. I don't recommend you do though. The military does things their way and it's very different compared to the civilian way. Especially since you're like me and just getting ready to come out of EMT-P school, no offense, but our minds have been set to do things one...

Where are the EMTLIFE military participants?

I'm heading to AIT as a 68W (former 91B?) soon and I've been around 68Ws awhile and although there is a big difference between the two EMS worlds (civilian vs military), in the end, we all do the same thing. I love this forum though because it's boring as sh^t in the military sometimes because...

    Very minor call

We got a call yesterday that ended up being very very minor. As medics, we're taught to at least attempt to diagnose obviously. For EMT-Bs, well, this was a BLS call so think on it. The call: 17 year old athletic female. No previous injuries. Resp. 12, pulse 62. Not pregnant, last period...
