Okay so I'm moving to Seattle area in about 3 days about and am currently an EMT-I in the state of California. What do I need to do to get transferred to state of Washington and who hires EMT-I's in Seattle area??
I've looked up info to transfer but I'm not sure I'm reading it right
So I'm trying out a caregiving position because it's more hours but the employer thinks I need first aid training to add to my AHA CPR cert and EMT cert. And says first aid is just teaching you how to bandage and splint... so how did I get my EMT cert if I don't know how to do that? Is there a...
well basically i studied a month straight because i was too nervous to fail again.. it was my 3rd time taking the test lol just make sure you got your abc's oxygen DOWN and protocols and youll be good
study your arse off! lol i studied 1 month straight 8hrs a day at the library so i had no interruptions and it really took all the nervewracking feelings off me so when i went in to take the test i didnt even need to think really it was just me and the test as in before when it was me the test...

I honestly cannot remember if there are questions on AAM, but I think there were 2 or 3 simple questions. It's always best to study everything you're given whether or not you were taught it in class. Because the class tests you on what they teach you.. The NREMT tests you on what the class...
Here are some more questions I'm having trouble with understanding from my EMT-B Review Manual by Stephen J. Rahm
33. As you are performing CPR on an elderly man, his wife presents you with a DNR order. Your most appropriate course of action is to:

BSI and scene safety are ALWAYS FIRST!!! BSI should basically be done while en route to the call, unless of course you get there and need addl PPE.
Thanks for all of your responses. However, I still haven't gotten my other question answered. For it to be considered a significant MOI in adults...
All good books just ensure that the answers are actually correct. That's the big thing I've ran into for instance the multiple choice answer is A but it says B and explains A. Or the answers aren't updated. or your text book isn't updated. As in my most recent post I've ran into a few recurring...
Alright, so it's been like 2 months since I've taken the test last and I finally feel more than ready to take this... well almost. I've gone through all my text books multiple times and test books but I still have some questions.
I took a practice test on learningexpress.com and have just a...
Yeah every time. Just make sure you are way more than ready to take it the next time because it sucks having to take it over and over and pay the fee every time. So be more ready than anything.
Yeah the books have definitely helped me. But I think what people were pointing out is that the questions from the NREMT and the questions from the study books are just very different. Most of the books I've seen are basically 2 answers are right but what's the best answer as opposed to the...
I got some flashcard book from Borders it was basically worthless. It didn't explain half the answers. It was generally right or wrong, not right, right, right, CORRECT. And they were basically textbook questions. IDK if it's the same book. But I did recently get some EMT-B exam review books...
