This is for a part time gig in another state where they use AEMT. It's basically to help a friend out, although it certainly is no skin off my nose to expand my knowledge base at the same time. I don't think there's anywhere in SoCal that uses AEMT although I thought I saw some in NorCal.
It's...
Yeah I know hence my challenge. The school will cover my liability insurance and all that stuff but getting my foot in the door at a hospital is the biggest problem. I just realized that my trauma surgeon is head of the med school trauma program. She might be the person to butter up. I need to...
I'm going to be taking an AEMT course this September and would like to do my clinical rotations close to home rather than at the school which is in another state. I still have to go to campus for a couple of weeks of labs and practicals, but staying in SoCal would for rotations would save me...
I'm in a group that is literally focused on getting people fired. I joined it to observe the insanity once they targeted a friend of mine. Total ****show. More than once they have gone after the wrong person - and not a second of hesitation or introspection is gained. Nope. They go right after...
My first call was a vehicle vs bicycle. Thirteen year old kid with massive trauma, and as we log rolled him onto the backboard his skull collapsed a bit in my hands. That was 25 years ago and I still remember that sensation. Not a pleasant intro into the world of EMS.
Geez...my eyes wander all the time lol. I assume they stop the clock any time they make you re-show them everything.
Doesn't sound like much downside to doing the exams this way. Why would anyone go to a facility when they can do it from home?
Thx for the responses.
I was going to take my exam in August but there only seem to be three or four days open in the whole month, with 2 slots at 2 different campuses. Weird because there are a ton of slots this month. Not sure what the story with that is.
Anyway, I noticed there's an online proctored exam offered...
Get prescribed Dronabinol. It is synthetic and not a schedule one drug and will not impact your drug test if you have a prescription for it. While it is not as effective as MM it does work.
And yes, labs can tell the difference between MM and dronabinol.
I was thinking exactly the same thing today. People stocking FlufferNutter and Snickers bars are getting paid more than front line medical workers in the middle of a pandemic.
Good for them, but it speaks volumes about our society today.
Same. Twitter was easy to leave it unfortunately FB has a bunch of friends and forums that are only available there. I've started limiting myself to 20 min max on the site and promised myself not to get sucked into political flame wars, bug good lord it is hard some times lolol.
It's definitely not strictly enforced (I have a few shill accounts there myself) but they do have a real name policy and they do ban accounts if they discover violations as part of their anti-spam/phishing efforts.
You can always use a fake name, but recovering the account will be nearly...
Facebook makes you use your actual name. On twitter people were identifying (incorrectly) suspects based on an uploaded video. I can't imagine those poor guys sitting at home watching TV oblivious to what was going on, then heading into work to find the management team at the door.
I recently closed my Twitter account which I had pretty much since the inception of Twitter. I decided to bail after the Twitter mob went after the Bethesda bike trail guy - incorrectly identifying three different (and all innocent) men, doxxing them, bombarding their employers, etc. A few...
