Honestly only thing I needed to remember was rule of 9s and parkland formula...everything else goes ABCs. I would suggest going through ethics and operations type stuff just to remember the NREMT belief on some issues.

Hi guys would appreciate some insight/advice/constructive criticism on a project I've been investigating for my volunteer squad. We're looking into the idea of upgrading our service to ALS.

I define it as having to use sedation and/or paralytics for a patient to accept intubation. Where I'm from paralytics are now only part of the process if there is still muscle resistance after sedation.

Now I'm a new ALS provider, but I've been part of the procedure as an ER Tech as well as being my OR rotation "final" (the anesthesiologist's makeshift exam on signing off on my rotation). I've never actually seen it done in field even though I rode with RSI providers. My question is how much...

When I went into the program my classmates and I were told that all the books we needed for the course was packaged together (besides ACLS, PALS, PHTLS) for $275. We get to the bookstore and the books were jacked up to $500. Really just blowing off steam, sadly there is nothing we really can do. lol
