Agreed, it's not going to happen. Canoga Park is LA city territory. This whole county vs city fire department thing going on in LA is kind of silly to me. You have the LA city fire department, then you have LA county, and then, finally, you have places like Burbank who have their own fire...
Actually I was at MedResponse. I saw GCTI around a lot though. We only had a couple patients out there in Verdugo. I would always see MedLife crew lying in the sun while I was there though. Made me want to join them. And I agree, these companies are incredibly corrupt. I'm glad I got a...
I haven't read through all that was posted in this thread, but I knew an RT at medlife. My old godforsaken company used to transport a couple patients to Verdugo Hills. At that time they looked like a chill company. Seems like they're going into ruins though; well deserved for trying to screw...
I hope you haven't joined them yet. MedResponse used to be an ok company. IFT in LA county = slave work to dialysis centers. They work you hard, like a dog. Some of their rigs are terrible too. Exhaust fumes galore.
Hey, thanks for the replies. Care sounds great. I wish I had known all these facts when I applied for jobs. Right when I got an offer from my current IFT company, Care gave me a call for an interview. I was too stupid to accept it haha.
Ah, I think I know which one you're talking about.
This is all a shame really. I was kind of hoping to work for Gerber, thinking it would be more fun than an IFT company. May be a blessing in disguise though, seeing as how Torrance is like 1.5 hours from my home during peak hour traffic.
I wonder if they're still hiring. I sent an app in not too long ago. Although, seems like not too many people have good things to say about Gerber. It's too bad about the Santa Monica contract.
I'll post in this thread since it's on the topic of AMR.
AMR in LA county is now opening up applications. I completed my app and am scheduled to take a written test next week. Currently, I am an EMT at an IFT company, dealing mainly with dialysis, so it gets pretty routine. If I...
I'm a graduate of the program. In fact, I know two other people from my current job that graduated from the UCLA program and we all passed the NREMT on the first try. They really set the standards for written tests and skills test very high, for good reason though.
As for anatomy, I think...
