    Paramedic schools in MA?

I'd look at ProEMS Center for Medics. I've heard good things about them (I didn't go there however so can't give you first-hand info).

    Morphine and Fentanyl

My state just put Ketamine into their protocols. IM. For psych only. So I'm jealous of you.

    Morphine and Fentanyl

Fentanyl is our go-to IV analgesic in the ICU (both on surgical ICU and medical ICU), whether it is a drip or push. Occasionally we'll use morphine pushes for pain. Morphine drips are generally only used for CMO patients. The only studies I'm really aware of are for angina patients, not other...

    No dialysis for 5 days

Monitor and transport to the Level 1 non-emergently. I wouldn't really go messing around with fixing his lytes en route unless something changes.

    2018 conferences and classes

I'm looking at going to NTI 2018 in Boston, CT EMS Expo/EMS PRO in CT, and the Massachusetts EMS Conference (though if I'm not mistaken, EMS PRO and NTI may be the same week). Edit: looked at the dates wrong, they don't overlap but they are back-to-back.

Connecting with other first responders while traveling

I've met up with a person from this site when I travelled to Delaware, but other than that the only real "connecting" I do is maybe stopping to talk to a crew when I see them on the street and just get to know their system a little bit. I'm sure if you were to contact the agencies in the area...

    Falling O2 sats.....on CPAP?

Agreed that many (probably even most) do. But one of the OP's posts stated: If that information is true, I see a tube in his future unless he makes a miraculous turn-around (or the information isn't correct).

    Psych pts

I'd probably want them back there with me as a second set of hands, but that's just me!

    Psych pts

Sometimes I want to move to California to work EMS because it seems like such an advanced place to work! :p

    Psych pts

This isn't an attack on you, but that's a ridiculous policy. If an involuntary patient is trying to escape or actively trying to cause harm, by all means restrain them. But if they're not, than that restraint is inappropriate and, very possibly, unlawful.

That's battery but what do I know?

    Actual qualified medics.

Define "critical"? If you can't define it, go spend an 8-hour shift in a high-acuity ICU. It might help you with the definition.

Did we earn a stork pin?

I've been given a few awards at work. The best award I ever received, however, was a letter from a family after I helped withdraw life support from their loved one. I still have it. To the OP, the truth is that it doesn't matter what others think. It also doesn't matter that they gave you an...

What would you change about your protocols?

^this. Push pressors have their place, and long-term use isn't it.
