I use the pulse reading on the pulse ox most of the time. I does the work for me :) It not, I'll actually use 20 seconds times three. The math turns out a little easier than multiplying by four most of the time.

This is a cool idea. With the US government laws concerning emergency vehicles being pretty strict, I wouldn't expect anything like this in cities. It's not a bad idea to provide ALS much quicker than BLS even though you can't transport.

Yea there are a few methods although I think this one is the best: Unless you have like a 2 minute drive to the hospital, take the time to take a full blood pressure using a stethoscope. Even better, if you have a monitor that can do that, why not. Of course both methods are more effective...
