    Keeping Calm on Scene

Hey guys, I am a newbie to ems, and in my first EMT job. I'm in my FTO process (third day) and we almost exclusively handle 911 calls. I have got a bit of a problem, I keep 'spinning' on scene. When I first started, I would go blank with the most non-emergent of calls, but I am starting to get...

Ok, Orange county was a good call because there are a ton more options for you. Here are a few, these are 911/ift privates. Care McCormick (Lots of action in Inglewood) Gerber Shaefer From what I hear, those are the best in the area, so I would look at those first. Yes, the commute is going to...

Any 911 providers in Ferguson area? (Riots)

Non mainstream media? It depends on who you look at..... Some make it look like Fallujah, some make it look like dinner at Grandmas house. I am also interested to see how the Ferguson EMS system is handling this.

IFT to Bako? What for? Man, I really need to figure out why some are transferred from and some to Bako. I just moved to Bakersfield (today, actually) for a company in Kern, and it seems strange that IFTs would go TO Bako, as I see most go OUT.

    There goes the Individual Mandate

I am twenty right now, and there is no way in hell I will ever have less than what the 'Platinum' ACA plans are. If I ever get in a bad accident, or get cancer or any other serious ailment of the body, then I know that both myself, as well as my parents will not go bankrupt paying for it. That...

    Fresno and Kern County

Hello guys, looking to the future, I am looking for a service that is not fire, but also very high quality. I have heard good things about both American Ambulance and Hall. My ride along with American had some... Interesting calls. Does anyone know the culture of Hall and/or American? I am...

I Want to be a Paramedic/Suggestions for which BA/BS to go for?

Liberal Arts. Begin to try and understand man. After all, most of EMS is psychological help. Not in the sense of mental illness, but in terms of compassion. The whole person is the priority.

    CA: affected by obamacare?

Went down for me. Instead of $2000 a month for my parents and I, its now $700 for better benefits. That's the blue shield platinum ppo. Plus, getting the insurance myself was cheaper than going through employer, for me.
