I was wondering if anyone here knew of any agencies to volunteer at to gain some hours? Riverside or San Diego County are both close to me :)

I think your headed in the right direction What type of emotions can they go thru? Stress? Fear? Being on the outside they don't always see the full picture, just the scarier stuff sticks out to them..

Check out the hospital's job postings off their website, it differs for each hospital, for mine they only want EMT-Basic

in our 2 month class we did one 12 hour shift on ambulance and one 12 hour shift in ER. I wish we could have done more!

Which book do you have? we used the Brady Prehosp. Care & It had the same thing & we never looked at it. I didn't get anything from it on the NREMT & doubt it would show up (but don't quote me ;) ) since it's not in a Basic scope of practice
