    Combat Lifesavers

I totally agree Akula, in the military CYA was small and insignificant overall. In the civilian world it is to keep you from losing your job and from getting sued which is much worse.

    Combat Lifesavers

Like everyone said, military world is different from the real world.

    SWAT Medic

It all depends on the department. If they have SWAT medics assigned or if they go in without them. Best answer would be from the source.

    Maintaining relationship w/ Paramedic School

Vent-We love being able to be in control though  I agree with Vent. Just the little bit of help people have put in is enough for her to have an idea of what is going to happen.

    EMT Class

Congrats. I always liked psychology and it taught me a lot. When I took sociology in High School we had an excellent teacher that was neutral on views so you could develop your own. When I took it in college the professor was very one sided and preferred to lecture instead of actually...

    What is Best for me?

Let me add I do believe you should at least have a physical if you have been sedentary a long time or have serious health concerns before starting a significant life style change.

    What is Best for me?

I disagree with this. Doctor's do not always have the best way to get healthy and are often years behind new fitness concepts. I do agree that if you are going to work out find an EXPERT who knows the movements to teach them to you the correct way. TO the OP: If you want to just change...

So, what did you learn today?

My paramedic partner on wednesday explained to me that the trendelenburg actually can cause more harm than good be cause it fills the bessors (SP?) glands so the body has a false idea of its blood volume and slows down its heart. Any one have any studies on this? JEMS only provided a small...

    EMS Pants

I love my 5.11 EMS pants. I've spilt water on myself and it just stays on the surface. Plenty of pockets, comfortably, color stays after lots of washes and I haven't had any problems with them shrinking. As a plus they now come in black as well as blue.
