AMR santa barbara, San Luis Ambulance, or Hall

I was at Santa Barbara briefly but left due to my commute (3 hours one way) and my relocation plans fell through last minute due to a financial issue. AMR has 3 deployment areas. Santa Barbara. Lompoc and Santa Maria. then 24 hour stations in carpenteria,Goleta, Lompoc, solvang and up by Santa...

How is AMR ventura as a new paramedic

Don’t know much about Ventura specifically but do know it’s AMR and Gold Coast which is an AMR affiliate. Fire is ALS so be acting more as the transporting medic. Santa Barbara was super cool if you live up in area or can relocate or don’t mind a long commute haha. BLS Fire ( except for city)...

    California Questions

New medic is $21.40. I worked there briefly and wished I was still able to but my commute was way to much and my plans to relocate closer fell through due to financial reasons. Hopefully can move closer by end of year. but it was great vibe. Great people. Wasn’t to busy. Like 3-4 calls a day...

    Generational Gaps

just talk in general. It’s only really one person whos old enough to be my dad but he’s goes on about stories, his life, my life, calls he’s been on in the past. I don’t mind it but when he’s talking and see I’m on Instagram at same time he will stop and start over again assuming I’m not listening

    Generational Gaps

I see a difference in gap when I’m at work. I’m 25 years old and not going to lie, I do like social media a lot and when I’m with someone who is significantly older than me, they seem to always want to socialize whole Shift haha. but I have been open to that and try not to use my phone at all...

    First Ever Interview!!

Be confident. Most questions will probably involve getting to know you. So your past experience ( if any), you goals, why you are a good candidate, your strengths/weaknesses, how will you respond to a conflict with an employee, etc.

    SoCal first EMT job

Pretty McCormick/AMR riverside and care are your 911 options. If your play with OC you can try emergency as well. They have 911 for few cities in eastern part of county. AMR in inland empire as well with Ventura county I currently work at lynch as a medic. To get I as an ALS EMT seems like...

    Ventilator Certification

Not sure about a vent certification but my company does a class that medics have to attend if they want to be vent “certified”. I don’t think they get an actual certification from it though. I have seen courses that follow under ACLS classes that are vent/tracheostomy that go over basic vent...

    California Paramedics Hourly pay

I’m making $18/hr overtime after 8hrs a day in Orange County. Everyplace is different though. In LA you can do just monitor transports and make 30/hr. But seems super boring after awhile haha. San Diego seems to be around the $18 mark but things could change with the whole falk winning the new...
