Take notes even if you don't need them. I never had the need to take notes through basic class and I had problems paying attention. But whenever I took notes for a friend who had to miss class periodically, I had no problem staying up on what the instructor was saying. My class was from 6-10...

I'm glad to report my *** was dethawed and successfully reimplanted. Now my turnout is a different story- why put the effort in it, I want new anyway; it's a little big, smells like burnt corn, and has a bad memory of an old girlfriend trying it on when I wasn't looking.

Most of the hospitals I work with seem more than happy to welcome you into their ER and take a patient off your hands. Then once you transfer care they don't want to see your face and are anxious to get rid of you. When you add it all up, they act like they don't trust the level and type of care...

Might help to be a little more specific, the role of different vollunteer departments differ. My department is mostly EMTs, but we only do first responder work. To the north of me their departments are also full vollunteer but they also do transport, ect.

There are times on scene that I trust the department's first responders just as much or more than I would trust myself. Their experience makes up for what I have learned over them. Its the same as the old arguement. Which doctor do you want? The old doctor that has years experience but may...

Damn. I was doing some year end paperwork after a call on the 31st. We finished with a grand total of 73 medical calls.

And my underwear too!! No, I didnt forget to wash behind my ears. :P
