We had a similar call. One evening we got a lift assist call. A unit responded, AOx4, GCS-15, answers all the questions. Pt refused. Next morning, get a call to the same residence, for a lift assist. Guy is AOx4. answers all the questions, does not want to go to the hospital. BP, BGL, etc...

My company is actually blessed to have a certified P, volunteer, who has his own completely rigged out (L/S & radio) Tahoe, that does a bunch of fill-ins for us on the schedule. The fill-ins are a real blessing when we are tasked with 1 unit having to sit through a football game on Friday...

Community Paramedic Programs. What do those involved actually do? Any value in them or is it a waste of time and money? Curious if it would cut down on "frequent flyers?"

Very few, if any of us, make over $400K a year, that's not going to be the problem. The problem will come when they tax the daylights out of the corporations. Any raise in taxes is gonna go right on down to the consumer...that would be you. Same same on fuel for your ride or the ambulances...

Not an instructor here, but if I were I would be stressing the daylights out of thorough assessments. Big difference between NREMT assessments and what actually goes on at the scene. Real easy to find the pelvic fracture and miss the spot their head hit the asphalt. I agree on common meds though.
