    There were 2 planes that were involved with bring down the twin towers. 1 plane at 1 time then the other 1 hit a few minutes later.

    Best places to find BDUs is at a uniform supply store,I believe you can also find the other equipment you need at that store too. If you buy pants make sure to keep the receipt,cuz I do believe you can get reimbursed for uniform purchases.

    Idle? Turn it off?

    We let the ambulance sit idle while we treating the patient but when we got to the hospital we shut it down till we were ready to head back to our area. If we were to shut it down at a scene we would have to turn off the battery.

    Another reason I got my MFR license was cuz I knew that it looked good on a job application. When I was doing security at the local community college I was known as safety/security officer cuz of my training and experience.

    We had our share of frequent flyers,as a matter of fact,1 of them lived right around the corner from the station. We would be getting called for him almost every other day,even though it was starting to get annoying,we just grinned and beared it.

    My first call

    Yep,after a while the rush just doesnt come like it did whenever the tones went off. When I was one it seemed like the adrenaline replaced my blood just cuz of the feel,like you are flawless,that the feel of the adrenaline is gonna keep feeding you until the call is over.

    Its something called adrenaline and for newbies,its a normal thing. I use to get "the rush" everytime the tones went off but the longer you are on the service you dont get the rush as much.

    Speeding with family...

    It may seem strange that cops actually do pull over ambulances while they are going non-emergency status but in some towns it does happen,and they dont care that you are driving an emergency vehicle,they will ticket you.

    Well,in this field of work you have to have a sense of humor,it helps relieve the stress of the job and especially if you had a bad call.
