Oregon/ USC... I could never decide between the two. I am from Southern California but I spent much of my childhood in Oregon. I learned to like them both. USC is doing terrible and Oregon is #1. The Boise State / Nevada game last night was AWESOME! :)

Same thing happened to me when I first applied for an ADL 5 years ago. My license was previously suspended for a street racing incident I got 4 years prior. It didn't take more than 2 weeks to get my ADL in the mail. They say it takes up to 60 days, but it shouldn't be anywhere close to that...

I usually will go directly on top of the vein if the patient has "ropes". If the veins are smaller or obviously roll, I usually go lateral to the vein. Varies based on the patient/ situation for me. I never really thought of it though.

I just use a nylon lace, tie a double or triple knot, cut the excess off with some shears, and burn the ends to melt the knot so it wont come untied. I have never had an issue doing it this way.

Any EMT-B cert will work. They're all the same. Good luck! :)

VVC, Crafton Hills College, Mt. SAC, etc. all offer EMT-P courses in that area. You need to test into those programs and you will need at least 6 months of EMT experience to get in. NCTI EMT-B will be ok.
