Are supervisors from private companies allowed to 800 you?

I am pretty sure that cant. Its a different organization service all together. Now if it is an OEMS inspector/state Representative that is different, they can do spot checks. Brandon

    Newbie!!!

Look for some volunteer agencies in your area. Most likely they will let you ride as a observer. Also, if you like it and join the agency as a volunteer chances are they may put you through EMT class. Brandon

    Advice for a newbie?

Two year program for EMT - B is a bit long. You may be looking at a Paramedic class. In order to take a Paramedic class, in most cases, you must already have your EMT-B certification. Depending on the class schedule, an EMT class can last anywhere between 2-6 months.

    NREMT Confussion

It depends. You would have to take the Practical Exam again. I know in Connecticut and I would assume the same for Cali, there is a list of practical exam and you would sign up to take the exam. Price is up to who is giving the test. Could be anywhere from 70+ for all the stations.

Capital College has a Medic program. In order for any classes to transfer you must have Bio and Chem. That will allow you to take A&P and Micro instead of the classes that are just for paramedics. I would give them a call and double check its been a while sense the last time I was looking at...

    state testing scam?

One thing I forgot to mention. Verbalize everything. Some evaluators will be looking at the sheet and may miss you do something. When you do it verbalize it at the same time. It will also help you get through your station. Brandon

    state testing scam?

I just took my practical not to long ago. I am also from CT. You will have to retake all of your stations again. Review with your instructor and signup for another exam. You have three attempts to pass your practical. If you don’t pass after the third exam you will have to take a refresher...
