@noblepacino if you have to stay in LA you could consider Liberty in Kern county, unrelated to the Liberty IFT in LA. The schedule allows you to easily commute from LA, and the scheduled overtime makes the EMT pay more liveable than what you'll find in LA.

Medics make high 60s on their base schedule, EMTs make high 30s low 40s last time I asked. And yes, 40hrs straight time and the either 32 of 56 hours time and a half every week.

You did your math on a 40hr work week. I posted the schedule. EMTs do not make $22k a year.

No cardiac hx, pain started 30min ago while at rest. BP 60/20, RR 24 and shallow, GCS 15, a fib between 70 and 110. I called a stemi alert and the cardiologist disagreed. ER doc convinced him to send the pt to Cath where it was discovered he had a complete LAD occlusion and coded.

Transported this elderly male for chest pain, ran into a cardiologist who disagreed with my interpretation of this 12 lead. So I'm looking for some more opinions on it. Any more info that's needed Id be happy to provide.
