Other than you enjoy helping people, Why did you want to get involved in EMS? For me, I was 11 years old during 9/11. When I was watching it on TV all I wanted to do was help. That stuck with me until I was in College when I chose to get into the College's EMT Program.

Here in Butte there's only 2 big ambulance companies, which are First Responder, and Enloe Ambulance. First Responder has the contract for the county. Getting a job with either of them is pretty tough.
