I'm pretty sure they don't. It's usually an insurance thing. But Cabulance took me at 19, so I don't see why they wouldn't take you at 18.

They will still hire you if you are 18.

If you don't mind doing wheelchair van, and car transport along with working on a BLS rig, Cabulance Comfort always hires. I think Falcon CCT is hiring again too.

I just started with a BLS company. Majority of our IFT's are from SNF's to Dialysis facilities. On occasion we get called to take 5150's to a psych facility, and the occasional code 2 emergency at a nursing home, but other than that its all dialysis runs. I haven't run a 5150 or a code 2...

Where I work now we don't even have radios, we get dispatched via text, and we text in to get our call times. We text: enroute, on scene, depart scene, arrival. We pull our call times for our PCRs from the cell phone.

Is it a Paramedicine degree program? Any how good luck! and you gotta hit the books no matter how bad it sucks! It really will pay off. I don't know about you, but once I started my EMT course I loved reading my textbook, I knew it was all information that would only make me a better EMT.

What kind of things would an EMT assisting an RN do on a CCT rig?

The company I have an interview with staff their CCT rigs with two EMTs and an RN. So I guess one of the EMTs would be assisting the RN? Is that not how it usually is on CCT rigs?

Sorry for my newbie question but what is working CCT like? and anybody have any interesting experiences doing BLS IFT? I am asking because I am in my first EMT job and all we do is BLS IFT, but another company I'd like to get on with does BLS IFT AND CCT, and I'd like to maybe get on the CCT...
