Hi everyone! I need some help! My dad and me would like to go to the US to do some drive alongs with an ambulance service. My dad once did that in the early 90's at the former EMS service in New York. Now it's my turn:p, he want's to come along though. Now, we would like to do this somewhere...

I am Thom, I'm from Belgium and I live in the city Dendermonde. I work in my dad's private ambulance service, we provide emergency care in our region, intensive care transports (micu) non-urgent transports, wheelchair transports,... I became an "ambulancier" (similar to te emt-b level) at 18...

For those calls where I can make difference.. Oh and probably because it's in my blood.. The first word I could say was "TUTA", so when I heard a sirene it went like "oh tuta". (ref. My dad own's a private ambulance service)

I agree with joy.. Happens a lot here too.. When able a patiënt can walk to the ambulance by himself, I can not really see the point in getting every patiënt into the ambulance by stretcher.
