My CCP-C is scheduled for next week and I've been reviewing my material from IA Med.

What kind of questions can I expect on the exam? Do I need to expect to be able to explain setting up an art line and transducer, or is it more focused on patient presentations? What types of topics do they like to hit? I have the handbook and the break down of categories, just looking for a bit more from others' experiences.

If you have the review book by IA MED, the tests are asking for information that is very similar to what is in the book.

For example on IABP, it may give you a waveform and you have to be able to find out if it is early/late inflation/deflation and also where the normal positioning of it is inside the aorta. You also need to be able to know how to troubleshoot it.

For art lines it may give you an overdampened waveform and ask you how you would fix this.

How'd you fare?

I passed first attempt. It's a hell of a test.

That IA med book helped I take it. Anything else you used?

I didn't use the IA Med book, but I'm sure it would. It was written by Chris and Jennifer. Half of my course was taught my them. I took their 4-day online VILT course, which also granted access to their library from their on-demand course. So I reviewed lectures and notes from the on demand course after I took my live one.
