Hello all ,

I am about to recert for the first time in a few months and there are a few questions that I have for the process . I did email them to ask my questions without an answer .
Can I use my Paramedic CEUS that I have obtained for my State and National Registry ?? I need further explanation on what is considered CLINICAL and OPERATIONAL .

I currently work for a flight service . We do quarterly skills testing and cadaver lab . Do those clinical hours count towards my LIVE hours or do I still need to take a review class to renew ?

Thanks ahead of time !

That has all the information that you will need. Normal CE hours that apply for your medic license do not count. The hours must have a clear link to critical care and/or flight.

You must have a minimum of a 16 hour approved FP-C review course. It does not matter if it is live or pre-recorded.

What qualifies as a Clinical course and what qualifies as a Operational course are clearly listed on that link I provided, which is found on the IBSC website.

Not to be a **** but how have you not known what you need to do to recert since the cycles are 4 years long...

I obviously have not asked the right people! Thanks for you knowledge . I will more than likely have to re-test this time with a lesson learned .

I know a few people who opt to retest. Next time check with your flight service as they may have a contract with an approved recert course. If not there are plenty of courses out there that range in hours from 16 all the way up to 60 or more

As you obtain your critical care CEs make your life easy and record them and upload the document into the IBSC website since they require copy’s of all your CE hours. Then when your license is 6 months from expiring all you have to do is pay the fee and click the submit button and you are good for another 4 years.

As long as your company hands out CE hours during your skills testing and cadaver lab, then they do count.

Good luck with a retest... All the testing centers are shut down.

This was a mistake on my part and lesson learned .Not pointing fingers ,but I was told that there would be a CE and review course started . I will try to attempt to re-test in August ,hopefully the pandemic will have resided .Great news out of all of this is that I have enrolled in review class and should be able to knock that test out !

This is a very good point right now.
Yep. It put a hold on my CCP-C attempt.

I’d already paid, but was gonna wait until I was done with the online FBE Course to actually schedule the exam.

Now? Who knows...

Also, I’ve been lagging on transferring my CE’s to the IBSC website. Good news is that plus the online course gives me just about all of my CE needed.

The ol' ResQshop videos count for the review course.
