AEMT recertification

I am not affiliated and need to recertify as an AEMT, I just got through the paramedic program but I'm not sure I'll be able to upgrade before my certification expires. Would it be possible to use the medic program as CE's to recertify while I attempt to upgrade?

If just worried about NREMT I would just put in the upgrade ASAP. I had my cert expire before when going from EMT to medic and I didn't have any issues. Also just because your not affiliated dosnt mean you can't recert. There are plenty of refreshers out there for recerting.

I already passed the cognative exam however I have to retest the psychomotor skills and I don't want to take the chance of letting my certification expire before I get a retest. I'm trying to schedule that as soon as possible, but like don;t want to take any chances

Edited what I put before cause I realized I went through this issue. My NREMT expired like a month before I put in my medic upgrade. My state cert was still good so if I remember right I didn't really have any issues with state but NREMT kinda was a pain to get an answer from. I showed them i was enrolled in Medic program when it expired and there wasn't an issue. I think you can use the re-entry policy if needed.

Nice, I've been trying to look for info but NREMT doesn't explain to much, problem for me is that my state license will expire soon too. I'm trying to retest next month but Im not sure that will give me enough time to upgrade my state license aswell that will expire in March. Plus im nervous about the new psychomotor stations.
