Faith / Is there a place for God in EMS?

Faith and EMS The “Religion and the Star of Life” thread got me thinking about my faith in Jesus. I am still an EMT-B student, but I’m sure there will be times that I will need to draw on my faith once I start working in EMS. So here is my question: Are any other Christians out there that...

Religion and the star of life.

Why not go straight to the source for an answer? :) Check out more info on the Star of Life at http://www.ems.gov/. Click on "Star of Life Manual" at the bottom right of the page. Page 4 references Asclepius, the god of medicine, from Greek mythology as well as Moses of the Bible.

Religion and the star of life.

    P90x

Does anyone here use P90X? It's an exercise program (if you've seen the infomercial, you'll know what I'm talking about) that is supposed to really get you into shape. Okay, I know the program itself doesn't get you into shape, you have to do that. :) However, for someone like me that...

    Started EMTB Class Tonight!

Good luck with your class! I've had three EMT-B classes so far at St. Vincent's. There are about 20 in my class too. I have a whole new respect for what EMS providers do and like you, want to get as much time in the trucks as possible. Keep everyone up to date on your progress!

    Indianapolis Employment

Some of the questions I have are: 1. What companies have good opportunities for advancement? 2. Which ones really give you great experience and try to help you grow/learn as an EMT? 3. Do any of them offer financial assistance to become a paramedic? 4. What are the hours I can expect...

Hey everyone! This is my first post. I begin my EMT-B class at the beginning of January 2008 and will finish in May. Does anyone in the Indianapolis area have any recommendations for a good ambulance service to get started with? Also, it sounds like $8-$9/hour is the starting pay for most...
