Hey there,

There's a big music festival around this time of year where I'm from, and they always ask for volunteers to work first aid. I've never volunteered for something like this before now.

So, I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice on what to expect.
There's usually around 30,000 people.

Our county fair gives the surrounding volunteer fire departments the opportunity to be on-site first aid. I went one year for a six hour shift-nothing happened. Last year we had extrication from demo derby car, resulting c spine precautions and transport, pregnant lady with early labor pains, transport, twisted ankle, cut, head injury, band aid treatment and dehydration. That evening went fast. Can never tell with a fair crowd, what will happen. I am looking forward to this coming year. If nothing is happening it is amusing to see people and the way they act.
