when to go to als school

Those are paramedic wages. EMT-B generally runs about $4/hour less, EMT-I runs around $10/hour.

Paramedic isn't a career-sticker like, say, 7.75 years of medical school and residency. I'd even go so far as to say that the majority of paramedics are transients going for RN, FF, RT, MD, LEO or something.

How's the cost of living? Might be looking to relocate, but your numbers sounded a bit low, really low once you mentioned that was medic pay. For example, I'm a basic in MA making 13 and change, non transport. Working as in house EMT/security at a retirement community. Local private that does the majority of 911 in the area starts around 13.25 for basics.

Cost of living for a single family runs about 15k a year to keep lights on in a shack. with a stocked pantry, 20k.
