What is the difference between Advanced EMT and Paramedic training?

I just got my EMT-B after being on my department for nearly 1.5 years. (I wasn't authorized to do anything except documentation and drive.) My state (Iowa) is going to the new NHTSA scope of practice standard shortly, which eliminates the EMT-I position.

How many clinical hours are generally required for the EMT-Advanced position? How long of class is it? Thanks...
