Forgive me if this has been asked before, I couldn't find it in prior threads. But, what is a mill and how do you know if the school you're looking at is a mill?

A patch mill is a school that churns out EMTs or medics without any concern as to whether they can actually pass the NREMT or perform their duties to the level that should be expected of them. Basically they are just in it for the money. It generally is applied to low end for profit schools.
There are a ton of these in Florida. Usually they advertise with "Get your EMT / Paramedic fast" or "all online classes, no classroom required" and things like that. High quanity, low quality.
