Water Spots?

Alright guys and gals, had a question. We have very hard water in our county, and from over time of people not wiping the water off the windows, there has been a build up of water spots that will literally not come off with anything i have tried. I was thinking maybe to try CLR, but i have yet to try it. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Ryan S.

Hard water spots are caused by mineral deposits from excessive dissolved minerals in your water (as you may well know). What I use when washing my truck is a spray bottle filled with distilled white vinegar. The vinegar works well to dissolve the mineral deposits because of its acidity. CLR is likely more concentrated, and would work faster on thick deposits, but is more expensive and you probably have white vinegar laying around your house already, so that's what I would try first.

CLR would work well but it might damage plastic/rubber so use it carefully.

Yeah, use it on a rag on the windows *only* If you guys wax the rigs, be super careful.
