Really interesting to hear how it started on their end. Glad to see that they were wary of the crowd and their exits.

During EMT school we opened up a day by playing a long recording of the EMS & Fire comms during the Aurora, Colorado shooting last year, with special attention paid to ICS. We then critiqued their response, then pulled up Google Maps and did some mock MCI scenarios in the Austin area. Trail derailments, shootings, building collapses, etc. Hopefully this incident is being well tracked on their end so it can be used for quality control in the future.

There will be a lot to learn from this. We've filmed some more interviews that will air on EMS1 shortly that we hope will give more insight from the EMS side of the incident. I'll share some of my personal findings here a bit later.
