Can anyone tell me if they received training with Video Laryngoscopes in their training program or within their system? Is video laryngoscopy a "hot topic" in EMS? Are these types of devices making their way into the prehospital environment?
I am trying to do some market research and would be interested in talking with someone in a system or training program that is doing video laryngoscopy. Thanks.

We trained with it a little and I used a glidescope in the OR, more for fun than anything else. I was able to visualize the cords with DL, but used the VL just to see what it was like in practice.

Due to cost, nobody in the field in my area has them and the Glidescope we used in my Medic class was owned by the presenter of a difficult airway class. We didn't have one in the lab for everyday use.

My class was taught how to use the Airtraq

A few of the departments in my area carry/use them.
