Very Cool Storm.

Heading towards station yesterday, we were watching a terrible storm roll in off of the Gulf. There was an obvious point coming to one of the clouds and I told my partner to check it out, thats called the finger of God. She looked at me like I had just sprouted 2 additional heads. I said, just wait. And got on the phone with one of our FF's at our station. Told him to go look at whats coming our way.

We hit the red light right before we turn to go over the bridge to the island that our station is on and lost sight of the "finger." Once the light turned green, we made the left went over the bridge and was met with this.....

and if you look real closely, to the left you can see the second one beginning....

It looks glorious!! I find tornados very interesting.. I would not mind going out west one summer and going on a tornado chasing spree. I just do not want to die. There is nothing wrong with cherishing life
 
it was when the second one formed when my partner and I decided we should get our butts back to our station.

All total, there were 4 before the storm finally passed.

Very cool to watch.
 
What part of Florida do you stay?? You say its near the gulf?
 
Waterspouts will occasionally slurp up fish and drop them several miles inland. If you're ever driving down the road and you get hit with a trout, a waterspout might be the reason.

In case you're wondering, why yes, I do watch The Weather Channel at 3am sometimes. :P
 
The Weather Channel helps me get through 24 hours of dealing with stupid people! Sin, we get enough tornadoes here in SC, no need to go to Kansas and see Dorothy...:wacko:
