What happens if you need to shock a child but have no Pediatric pads? Would you still give the shock or could you cut the pads to the appropriate size?

Yes adult pads will work.

Giving a shock with adult pads is better than no shock at all!

A pediatric pad set also includes a voltage attenuator to lower the AED's output. If a pediatric setup is not available, the AED should still be used.

Do not cut the pads, you may render them ineffective. Pad placements for a pediatric patient use both ventral and dorsal sides, so there should be sufficient surface area for pad placement.

Standard is use 'em, but don't try peds on adults. Better to keep comperssing and boogie.

You can use adult pads on a child as long as the pads do not touch eachother. Typically one pad placed on chest and one pad posterior.

As long as they don't overlap it is Ok. Adult energies are safe for pediatric patients, even down to infants.

Don't cut, bigger is better honestly. Less likely to burn the skin.
