Hey guys and gals, I'm an AEMT hoping to start paramedic school next semester and am trying to "read ahead" since I will be working full time while going to school and I know how hard that is after doing it during AEMT. I tried reading the Nancy Caroline chapter on Cardiovascular Emergencies and got most of it except for the EKG portion. I kinda understand the different types of arrhythmias, but once you place them in a 12 lead reading, I'm lost. Does anyone know of any other resources or tips to interpreting the 12 lead. Perhaps something that show's the arrhythmia and where on the 12 lead you will see it. I think I'm getting lost once it talks about vectors.
Secondly, besides EKGs what other areas should I look at getting a head start with? I'm assuming pharmacology?
